We've been to Catchpoles for some end of week treats twice now... their cakes are amazing!! Especially the pistachio dubai pots are to die for 😍😋 Such a lovely family run cafe & they will do well in our little village I'm sure of it... the fact they keep selling out everyday proves it 🙏
Amazing cafe. Such a lovely family atmosphere. We are visiting for the weekend. The most fabulous coffee and a gluten free cheese scone yesterday. Back this morning for more coffee and a cinnamon bun to die for. Well worth a visit and a great opportunity to support a new business.
Why 'Catchpole's'?
A little café with a lot of history.Some of you may know that Angie's mum, and my grandmother, Carol Soanes, was known as Carol Catchpole while growing up. She was raised just down Green Lane in Kessingland alongside her seven siblings — Irene, Thora, Ivy, Evelyn (Ebbo), Frankie, Ronnie and Ivan.
We wanted to bring a piece of our family history back to Kessingland. Carol was crowned Kessingland's beauty queen twice in her younger years, and she holds an incredibly special place in our hearts. Naming our little coffee shop Catchpole's felt like the perfect tribute — a name full of history, meaning and love.
